check this nasty story, in Kazakhstan there is an outbreak of HIV because doctors prescribe unneeded blood transfusions, mostly for children it sounds like. The doctors, it says, look to ways to supplement the starting salary of $175 month. 14 ounces of blood costs $20, 10 going into the bloodbank's pocket and the other 10 right into the good doctor's.
