anyone else watching this on the discovery channel?

Each of the eleven episodes (except the first) focuses on one of the Earth's natural habitats and examines its indigenous features, together with the breadth of fauna found there. Several animals and locations are shown that have hitherto never been filmed, using innovative camera technology. Previously unseen animal behaviour includes: wolves chasing caribou observed from above; snow leopards pursuing markhor in the Himalayas; grizzly bear cubs leaving their den for the first time; crab-eating macaques that swim underwater; and over a hundred sailfish hunting en masse.[3]

Oooh, i like the 2nd pic. And WTF is that thing in the 3rd pic?!?

This sounds so up my alley. No cable for me though, I watch enough crap as it is with just my basic 5 channels and my crappy antenna.
It's not that I hate TV, but I do hate its time sucking properties, and shelling out 60 bucks a month to be non-productive. I can be non-productive for free, plus, I have the internet to pay for!

But Yay! Neat show! Thanks loineroo!

Missed it last night, but the boyfriend wouldn't shut up about it this morning : ) Says the creatures on the bottom of the sea floor were all "neon and cool". And he said that on the show it said that Panda's pick one cub and take care of it and leave the rest to die, because they can't take care of more than one, did you see that too? I told him I didn't believe him. ha.

the third one is something in the ocean:cool: .

i've seen the one about seasonal trees, the intro (pole to pole), the one about the ocean. most of the time it's been kinda of a slack jawed wonder at how beautiful it all is. i've missed alot of the key details. luckily it's on demand, so i can watch it whenever for a while.

since we got the new tv i mostly watch discovery hd. best. channel. ever.

this series is pretty much the only thing I watch on TV. In HD it's amazing. The first series was better than the second, but it's all too incredible. The one about caves is ridiculous. and when they go slow mo on the great white fully jumping out of the water to take out a seal its glorious.

Plus Attenborough is a god.

"a school of dolphins.....500 strong"

hahah 500 dolphins, not just that, they're going to meet another 1000 or so and have a little get together and some strategic munching. In any other situation I'd be cursing my lack of imagination of such things, however in this case I shower the Planet Earth film crew with jubilations and gape in the high definition glory.

Did you see the penguins all huddled together to stay warm? There were so many! And how quickly they have transfer the egg from the female to the male or it will freeze? Its ridiculously amazing the things animals can do.

Aaawww, Mumbo! I haven't seen it but was made aware of it last weekend as my little cousin did the happy feet dance for me in the middle of hospital, it was the funniest thing I've seen in a long time, I have her programmed in my cell as happy feet now, hilarious :)
