the grossest little story was in my paper this morning, a little snippet that made me gag on my coffee. from said paper:
An intoxicated man ate a portion of his own tongue on the weekend before police could stop him. The man was involved in an altercation at a downtown Vancouver bar Saturday, where he apparently bit through his tongue after being punched. Police arrived to find the man bleeding from the mouth, part of his tongue mostly severed. An ambulance was called. Before police could intervene, the man grabbed some chicken and ate it, along with the chunk of tongue.
