um... yeah right--- but Bryan since you weren't there I recorded two vids,

Master Blaster (stevie wonder intro to rocksteady)
and Inner City Blues (Make me wanna holla) by Marvin Gaye on my youtube page.

www.youtube.com/dailyca

Also--- my sound would have been better if this drunk jerk wasn't behind me singing into my ear. I heard this clown sing more than Marc Broussard. Awful.

anyways thought I'd post.

he's still got lots more dates to go, vancouver on aug 10th, that'll be too close to vegas (if). did you get that save our soul cd? did he play lots off that? I think I need to try a few of those off itunes. I've been relegated to the 2 x 99 cent downloader, can't just dowload $9.99 albums all willy nilly....I got the broke ass blues (ha ha better than the brokeback blues)

The cd is pretty good. However; I was thinking that the show would be more of the newer stuff and he played alot of stuff off of Carencro.

It was a different set up. Shannon McNally played in the middle of his set.
and he actually played covers of songs not on Save our soul.

i'm glad I got in free to be honest. he played way too much slow stuff and didn't keep my attention like he did when I saw him open for glass three times.

The Love And Happiness (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFbNESAySRM) video has been out for awhile, but I thought it deserved mention.
Marc recently shot a video for "Must Be The Water" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGIEbbQKkKo) that is being used to promote the NBA All Star Game in New Orleans on 2/15. It's airing now on TNT & TBS, and in Regal Cinemas.

Also, he's digitally releasing an EP with 5 new songs including Must Be The Water, Try Me, Someone You Know, It's Over Now, and Y'all Aint Ready.
The CD release will be out in March.

* Marc's on Conan O'Brien tonight (Monday, 15 Sept) @ 12:35am (technically that's the morning of Sept 16th).
Tune in to NBC (http://www.nbc.com/conan)...if you're up that late. ;)

This appearance is to promote his new album, Keep Coming Back, which comes out tomorrow.

Super great show! Minor rant.... I ordered a glass of wine and an ice water. Much to my chagrin, the bartender wouldn't give me a glass of water. We sell bottled water. We are a small business. Well I am a small business owner, and times are tough for us all. I find this utterly redunkulous. Most places will give free drinks to designated drivers. I'm so aggravated I just may skip seeing Donavon F there. Well maybe not so minor.....

Shark, air your complaint, but go to the right ears!...Call during daytime hours and speak to management about this.
The bartender may just be trying to scam the bar out of more $$ and tips.
Why do I think this? I've had to fire people for this before.
Most places keep pretty strict inventory of everything they sell...but bottled water and other soft drinks are usually allowed for free to staff.
Granted, they'll charge $4 a bottle to customers, but I digress...

Anyways, so in theory that would mean said Bartendress could say "That's $4, ma'am." and just put the cash right in her tip jar...I've seen it done far too often. It's an easy way for barstaff to scam the establishment, big time.

Maybe the bartender isn't a thief, and the management's policy really is to be annoying, non-ice-water-givers...hell, if you really want to make a point, spin it to your advantage and call them DD-descriminators...an irresponsible alcohol policy for any bar.
Let their response during non-three-deep-at-the-bar be your guide as to what sort of business they are, really.

Come on you know me... I sent an email to Sue McLean first thing this morning. At least she is aware of how much money I've spent with her this summer for concert tickets. I even copied my neighbor, who over the years has spent thousands upon thousands of dollars through Sue, not the mere hundreds I have of late.

It never crossed my mind that it could be the bartender even having worked in all aspects of the industry for years, most of that behind the bar. I'm way too honest I think.

There actually wasn't anyone at the bar it was just her and I. I said I certainly didn't blame her for that policy and left my normal large tip. So I hope she was being honest.

I should point out Sue McLean is the concert promoter.

Oh Shark, you are like me, always believing in the good of people. I've been stung quite a few times because I'm too naive. Actually, I think that's a good quality that we have.
