G. Love Post - Under the Arch

I'm in Des Moines playing a show on the river tonight. Last night we had a sick show under the St. Louis Arch. Isn't that one of the 7 manmade wonders? The gateway to the west? It truly was magnificent to play right under it.

We had a slamming good set. The crowd was about 2,000 at the hit. During the 90 minute set the crowd swelled to 20,000. Crazy! We definitely played well and the vibe was on. We played a couple new songs "Sugar" and the Houseman's "Pralines and Cream Girl".

One more night then off to Philly to record this down and dirty record. I quit smoking as well. It’s been 4 days now so wish me luck. Its funny I feel better because I don’t feel like I have to keep leaving to go smoke a cigarette. So if you're thinking about quitting just do it on any day. Just don’t smoke for that day. Everyday after that gets easier and easier.

Definately was slammin! Loved it!! Hopefully we can do it again next year.. Also the fireworks after the show were better than the ones I watched on the fourth. Loved every bit of it. Im looking forward to the new dvd.

I am very excited to see what a new album will hold, all this promise of down & dirty......you're setting a high standard. I await the lowdown aural proof, trying not to set myself up, but feeling like it's gonna be xmas. no little high, little lows here.

my friend went to the show last night and had alot of fun,.... he said it was crazy packed; but a great time.
