deh de deh de deh de deh de (that's that news room noise, you know the "this just in" shit)
I listened to most of the 30 second blips on itunes and it mostly sounded like alot of the same to me, I'm just not hardcore enough I suppose, so I paid my 99 cents for the damian marley song and got the hell outta there..................
then I got sidetracked somehow on the few circle jerks songs they have on there. I haven't heard them for sooooo long. Then I went to their website, and f**k me, they're still touring. I bet I only had one tape back in the day, that I knew real well, but this was on it (the video below, which I have provided, taking time out of my productive day).
shifts something on the molecular level when I hear this stuff....some call it trouble, I call it restless

(I bet no one here even has a clue what I'm talking about, huh? maybe miss shark or some greasy lurker with corn chip dust on his palms)

that's funny, just as I'm clicking your link, I'm thinking to myself, 'i hope that's holiday in cambodia'.....and whaddya know? it's a classic.
(another example of the 4 personality, 4's always think they are misunderstood and don't fit in, but I do "by golly, I do". ha ha-
Japhy did you try the personality test in the ramblero section, it's interesting, 2 questions, something about an enanagram interpretation, I think most people have felt it did them justice)

Seen CJ several times. Hee hee japhy if I wasn't right at the stage I was in the pit, but that was back when people knew how to mosh it wasn't all shoving and punching. This one probably won't do much for you guys, but you can get a sample of some great Chicago HC bands. I'm amped about this film, and helped track down a few folks for it. I hit the scene at the tail end of this period.

This is the one I should've but on here. What song comes to mind when you are thinking about punk and cars?

Nice find sway. I found this channel today and they have some amazing stuff from their 80s public access cable show. I remember cutting school to watch a cable access show in Chicago that showed music videos pre MTV

oh lord, that main video on there is bad, that doesn't take me back to anything, though I don't think you were specifically referring to that music.
This is what I used to watch in highschool, no mtv here.
"City Limits was a Canadian television series, which aired on Citytv and later MuchMusic in the 1980s. Airing on Fridays at midnight, and on Saturdays, the program aired alternative music videos. An indispensable resource for fans of interesting music"
There also used to be some punk show on the radio at like 12:30 on friday nights, which I'd try to stay up till, so I could get my blank cassette all ready to record in my ghetto blaster- then go to sleep and listen to it the next day.
It's amazing what the internet has done to bring all sorts of music from every corner of the globe to everyone. That's what I love most about the internet, so much access to whatever you want to know or see or hear.
the dead milkmen and the circle jerks,
current affairs in africa,
an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie recipe,
how to get your fingers unstuck from crazy glue,
it's all there.

You have to sift throuh the dreggs, but there is some great stuff there. The bigest shocker was Screwdriver. Ever here of those guys? Nazi skin heads. I won't even go into some of their better known lyrics.

I missed that one so wrapped up in all the great punk stuff. Saw the Dead cover it once.
