Okay I figured out how to do that.

good one shark, this is an important issue (sure)
I couldn't fucking care what they wear, though I can't lie, I do have a penchant for the polyester leisure suits a la G....but otherwise I'd suggest some shows chili pepper style with one tube sock per band member. (note the double entendre)

Sway don't get me started on the tube socks. I'm sure I've mentioned fleas sock danglimng mere inches from my face at a show?

Duly noted

get out!
man you've had all the fun, haven't you?

Miss Shark

I really didn't think it was all that funny or fun to tell the truth.

Hey you didn't vote. Am I not being taken seriously here? Okay I can't stop laughing. Must be time to get some real sleep, beautiful sleep, the kind you can only get in your own bed with your own pillows, with your own man. hee hee hee nighty night....

"Hey, hobo man, hey Dapper Dan
You both got your style, but brother
You're never fully dressed without a smile

Oh, he's Jimi Jazz...why cramp his style?

There's a big diff between jeans & a t-shirt, and "the jeans & a t-shirt that you slept in"...or "the same thing you wore at yesterday's show" etc...
maybe that's the unspoken issue, because I really don't see a problem with his (or anyone's) stage apparel. And it certainly doesn't affect the music, so really, who cares?!?

JJ's been barefoot at several shows...in fact, I remember being kind of surprised to see him in shoes instead of barefoot.
If it doesn't detract from the music, who cares?

I've always liked the specs Houseman wears, but I don't like the basketball jerseys...but so what? It has nothing to do with the music, and he's not my boyfriend so I have no influence over what he wears, nor should I.

I do have a preference for the old school suits myself, though they seem awfully hot for a show under hot lights with as much jumping around as G does.
I thought it was funny in the DVD where G was trying to say that he recycles clothing by wearing the old school stuff...
I think it was part of an interview in Japan, and the interviewer couldn't have appeared less interested.

hell, it's irrelevant to me what they wear. i'm generally too short to see the stage:rolleyes:

I did vote.
and is that how you get that kinda sleep? I haven't been getting good sleep for a while. i wake up too much some nights.
I've been trying a hit of gravol and a drink as the remedy once in a while. it's not a clincher either though.

and angi, the recycled suit part was funny, more so because of G's expression...lost in translation, linguistic or cultural translation? I'm not sure.

No I really just meant it was good to be home. The only way I get that kind of sleep is great S E X, which is but one of the reasons I get that as often as I can. ;)

I always said, before the DVD came out, "he looks like he crawled out of a dumpster" but in a very loving way. I like that he doesn't care what he looks like, and just wants to play music. I like Jim's style, and occasionally I have seen the fella dress up in some nice digs, but he can't be comfortable. I mean, everyone else (Mark, Jeff, and Garrett) get to sit down. Jim has to stand the enitre time. I think he reserves the right to where whatever he wants.
The shows I've been too, he has worn some cool tshirts and its not like they're raggity or anything. Not everyone wants to wear a button down shirt for every performance.

he has his own style and obviously it has enough impact to spark a poll...but i do have a confession I prefer when g. love doesnt wear a hat and dresses nicer. i saw him and he just wore a plaid shirt and a baseball cap....on him it does make a difference cuz he is supposed to be the front man and pretty one.

no offense to anyone, but I wouldn't be confusing what makes an impact around here and stuff that really is important....they aren't always one and the same.
hmmmmm......clemency for a man that does not deserve to be murdered by the state of texas in one weeks time, or JJ's pants. let's test the scales.

and the term 'supposed to be' (front man-pretty man), that is a weapon in my opinion, and ya better be careful where you aim that thing.

I vote "somewhat"..in defense of Jimi. If I hadn't seen the DVD I'd never know to care, but it did bring to mind that I once fell in love with Jimi at a show for wearing a t-shirt that read "Buda-ful." He's friggin' stellar at playing that stand-up. Talent, energy,..he does "bring it" everytime I see them!

G' suggested on the video that all he wants to do is jam...uhhh... that's musical genius on his part and the fastest way for yall' to continue improving. I suggest a comprimise... begin three shows with a new song...one that allows for jamming without anyone even knowing because it's new. Then, if you really do it, you'll get all warmed up, Jimi will be happy and at the forth show he wears a short-sleeve button down. Maybe with an embroidered flower or eagle and those pearly buttons. Jeans would still be appropriate as would hiking boots or birks with socks. He is from the west coast. You just can't tease him. Those west-coasters are sensitive types.

On a serious note, like c sharp on the clarinet...I really think Jimi is good enough to wear whatever the fuck he wants. Yall' should bend and flex though...the music is exponentailly better when your vibing. It;s just nice to see that they are just like the rest of us...social dysfunctionates.

I did the pole in defence of Jimi, and it was supposed to be funny, not taken seriously. I did not care for the DVD myself. I think it's a little shallow, and I dare say it makes someone look like a bit like a pompous ___.

to be honest, i haven't seen the dvd yet (it's not out here and my credit card is maxed out so I can't get it from amazon)...SO, yeah...but that's my opinion

I know that, and I was not meaning that all our crap we discuss is not interesting, or that I am not party to it; but, was meaning that such can be a problem when one takes it all seriously.

hee hee, I didn't know 'doing the pole" was a defence tactic, perhaps I could email the defence team for Kenneth Foster and suggest they 'do the pole' for the governor of Texas, or maybe the governor should 'do the pole' himself? Pole Perspective

i dont get what you are trying to say.....are you offended are you mad? I am just saying that jj has his own thing going and he owns the style because it raised a discussion...fashion is suppose to have some kind of impact (not the same as whether or not the death penality is morally right.)

ofcourse i understand there are more pressing issues out there...but you know with all the crap going on in the world these days sometimes its just fun to wax philosophical about someone's fashion.

and i dont get what you are saying about supposed to be...clearly g is the most handsome of the bunch. i am just saying when you are hot like g. love what you wear has more of an effect...i am not using pretty one as a offensive term...i find him delicious i cant help it and anything to enhance that even better...you seem to misconstrue my posts...its hard to joke around on emails no matter how many smiley faces you slap on there things are misunderstood....have a great day:)

i am not offended in the least. I just don't agree with some of the things you say, differences of opinion abound, no biggie.

like, don't you think you would be offended if someone told you what you were 'supposed to be'?
and I don't agree that if you're 'hot', what you wear has more of an effect.

and I apologize if I come off as a bitch, but , my mind is on Kenneth Foster this week and even besides that I think we just don't get each other.

Well it's obvious you're new here then. Sway always makes sense and is probably the least misunderstood phamily member here.

Sway, my girl, I bet at least 1,799 of your 1,832 are explanations, apologies and "no offense taken"s. ;) giggle, giggle.....And that is why we love her!

that's exactly what I was going to say angi, if I have to explain it, you'll never understand (or at least not at this moment in time). But I thought perhaps that would cast me in pedantic light and I felt I best leave well enough alone, at bitch.

who was that musician that was asked to define, was it blues or funk, can't remember, anyway his response was similar to that...if you have to ask, you'll never know.

and I mean no disrespect danielle, different strokes that's all, perhaps you be doing the breaststroke and I be doing the butterfly.
