I think the Sauce should headline withsome underground hip hop groups for a change... The group experiments with hip hop, and has a underground feel to their music... G. Love is pretty decent at freestyle too... Groups and artists like Oddjobs, Atmosphere, Aesop Rock, and Eyedea & Abilities... Has anybody ever heard of any of these guys, they're bananas, and put on a really good live show... Artists who have similar interest in good music, you know... I think G.L.a.S.S. and these groups would put on a nice show... at the end of the show they could bust a freestyle cypher together, you know that would be dope... Nonetheless, does anyone else have an opinion on this. Peace.

That is a very good idea Ben. I would also like to see them jam with different types of bands as well. Not just hip-hop but like other bands that have the same kind of vibe as GLaSS. Also changing up the bands as well while on tour.

It seems like G.L.a.S.S. has done a show with every other genre, except hip hop... I just wanted to throw an idea at you guys, that and I'm a hugeindie hip hop head...I also think it would be kinda cool if the band threw a quality DJ from one of those groups into their set... Don't get me wrong I likeall different genre's of music... I just favor indie hip hop because it has a pure sound, and most if not all mainstream rappers suck, I WISH THEY'D SHUT UP! but that's just my opinion, I'm trying to be negative... Anyway, has G. Love ever played with Portishead? I think that would be a nice show too... Keep it coming.

Is there rule in here against answering your own posts?

I know it may sound a little odd, but what about a GLaSS and Violent Fems tour? They both havewicked bass lines and could both cut loose w/ the jams! I think the show would be awesome!!
Peace!

I wouldn't really care who G played with. If I was going to a GLaSS concert, I'd only be going to see him. I went to the concert in Chicago last summer when they played with 311 and after G was done (only like 45 minutessmileys/smiley7.gif), I didn't even care about 311. And I DO LIKE 311. So like I said, I wouldn't care.

Hey float I like your ideas about incorporating a dj into the set. However, GLaSS in my heart and mind will always be Garrett, Jimi and Houseman. I think that having a dj would turn alot of fans off. I think they once tried to put another guitar player in the mix once,I dont think it worked out to well. Those three boys dont even have to look at eachother to know what each one is going to do next. I think it would cause alot of interference between G and the sauce. I also agree with you on the indie scene, their music is very unique and original. Portishead would rock, her voice is f**kin great and some of their music is down right spooky. By the way, which rappers would you like to shut-up. I would like to see them play with Tom Waits myself

That does'nt really apply to the subject Justin, and it is a fact that G. Love will do shows with other bands in the future... So, I was just trying tosee what kinds of different bands, and genre's G.L.a.S.S. fans would like to see also... A G. Love show by itself is great, but i think seeing more than one band, and genrewould be cool and OK... I think it's fun to type about... You know? Peace.

What up Perry? I'd say Nelly, Big Tymers, and Lil Jon to name a few... You know, thejiggy rap about nothing type of rapper. It just seems like a waste of time for the people who make really good music... Anyway, I kinda agree with you on the DJ topic. it could messy, just an idea though. I heard G. Love had a harmonica vs. guitar battle with another musician once (I'm not sure who)... That would've been nice to see.

about the dj thing i'm going to say no, one b/c it has become mainstream and over done two garrett f***s around w/ turn tabels himself so i gather that if they were to play w/ that thought he would of done so by now. about the battel not that they were batteling but g and jon popper together is a wonderful sight i got to see them at stubs in austin, wow that was great they did marleys' " no woman no cry" i swear to god they made that song like 7- 10 minutes long. i had the biggest most stupid smile on my face

PERRY, come on!!! Tom Waits??? Tom Waits is beautiful, but depressing. "Alice", "Blood Money", "Mule Variations". Really,GLaSS and Tom Waits are like polar opposites. Please!!!!!! I love TW but not with GLaSS. Seriously, that is silly......!!!

Alright Mr Cleanface I think you made your point clear. The topic was who you would like to see GLaSS team up with on tour. Obviously people are going to have different opinions on who they would like to see, some of them maybe far-fetched, and some maybe realistically speaking. Ya TW can be very depressing at times, and the femmes maybe a little obscure, but those were just some peoples thoughts. We all know that Garrett is not going to have these two on the road with them, but we all can imagine it, right? I could name 20 or so that would probably get a much worse response than the one you threw at us. But you know what, that is IMO. which is what the topic was all about. I'm not trying to get a rise out of you, I just wanted you to see where I was comig from on this topic. Sometimes on this borad people are going to give opinions or say things that not everyone is giong to agree with, we just have to expand uor minds a little bit and be open-minded to peoples opinions. Can't we all just get along.Edited by: PERRY

what is blaxploitation? As defined in my trusty old websters dictionary it states that it is the exploitation of blacks by producers of black-orientated films. A nounEdited by: PERRY

no no no
I know there are various artist cd's out there called blaxploitation cuz my hmtwn friends had been listening to them a lot lately. There theme song, I don't remember the name, was the one that goes "everybody's got a special, everybody's got a .45"
I like it when G gets like R&B and really soulful...it fits him IMO!!
eventhough he is a lil hip a lil hop a lil rock and a lil roll....I dunno maybe I'm just looking for some more soul so we all can really get along.

PERRY, sorry about those posts bro. I completely understand the point you were trying to make and I didn'tmean to come off so strong. It was the Jagermaeister talking. Haha. After being out, it tends to make me over-dramatic and ultra-opinionated. So, there ya go. I do love Tom Waits. Alice is probably my favorite album. Peace.

we are way off the subject everybody. but since were on the subject of alcohol... i'd rather drink beer than hard liquor, but if the beer is gone i'll be quick to share that bottle with you, when the bottle is gone i'll probably try to kiss you, and when you're gone girl i'll kick it to your sister.
