they have a new album coming out in september. there are a couple songs on the myspace off it. I like em, especially the 'down down down' one. I don't know if the one 'keep up' (off the presale sampler from SS) is on the new album, but that one is good too. I think I'm gonna get.
They are also on tour, even coming to vancouver, though I doubt I can go.
(I had to go to the clinic cause one of my ears still hasn't popped from the plane ride home on Thursday. The doc said, "have you tried this?", as he pinches his nose and swallows. I mumble, "uh sure, lots", while in my head I'm thinking of course I have, you fucking moron. So I got some eardrops and the expert clinical diagnosis of a sucked in ear drum. "waa waa waa," she says.)

I actually know these cats really well. We all came up in the music scene together. Clearly they have done a lot more in the last 9 years, we were set back by a hiatus, but I'm very proud of them. They work really hard, they are stand up dudes, and I'm looking forward to their successes, as well as my own. Can't wait to play with them again.

'here we come' shuffled up on my ipod while i was at the gym today. this song is great. In fact I listened to it twice in a row and I'll go one step further in admitting this song is a steal @ 99 cents. (still don't know how to put songs up....all talk, huh)

this is a good interview, talks about the album coming out in a few days, SS collab on it, Mark Boyce as well, Chris D on production.
and most exciting to me, rumours of a second silverback festival.

Touring with Pepper. I wonder if I'll like them better this time around. They were so mellow when I saw them in Madison with GLaSS.

I ask myself, "why doesn't the SS label put the new music out on the canada itunes (chronchitis included)?"
if they did, I might have this cd by now

The Expendables are playing tonite in Ft Lauderdale at a great venue, but I'm pretty broke. Are they worth checking out?
(okay, I am somewhat curious about this, but I'm mostly only posting now to bury the post about Collective Soul, cuz dude, wtf?) :p
