I've been a fan of G-Love since 96--haven't been to a show in 5 years--anything new I should know about? I've been out of the loop for awhile

Wow....you really have been away!! Yeah it is still the 3 of them, with the occassional guest, or sit in.

Your first homework assignment is to immediately go buy "Yeah it's that Easy," and "Philadelphonic," if you don't have them already. If you do, buy "Electric Mile," but only if you don't have the previous 2. We(I mean all the OG forum peeps) expect opinions and feedback ASAP. This should get you going.

Welcome to the School of Sauce!!

Yes. Be prepared to give a lengthy discussion on why these albums are so good. Shame on you for not keeping up. It's good to see that people can come to their senses.smileys/smiley16.gif

well i don't know what was going on in your life that kept you away from the positive energy of g.l.a.s.s how ever i am glad that your out of that rut(what, who ever it maybe) and are back in the groove. lets see if i can bring you up to speed they did a " best of" c.d"eyes have miles" dvd. they are in the process of switching to jack label, garrett has a son that is 2 1/2 possibly 3 by now uhhhh........ he has been on the dave, jimmy and carson show w/ jack doing their new song "rainbow" for jacks' "thicker than water" sound track (surf film) there is also two other song on the soundtrack "hobo blues",& "honor & harmony" {get the dvd and soundtrack} speaking of sound tracks he is on the sound track of this movie called "celular" {comming soon} "the hustle" is due out sometime in the summer w/ a supossed dvd. he and his girl broke up(from what i understand some of the material is inspierd by the break up)he is working w/ a girl from china or japan i think that is to have this sheryl crow type feel to her , and he is try'n to get a cooking show , i think that's it ( hope that helps out some) Edited by: undercoverlover

That is funny. The last line is my favorite, the capper....."and he is try'n to get a cooking show." Man he has been busy.

Very impressive UCL. You got GLaSS down to a science! It's so sexy when a girl knows her G. Love facts. smileys/smiley2.gif

B-mac: Houseman, G, and Jimi Jazz. You still get the cigar in my book.

hey thanks for the update. I think UCL gave me more info then I thought possible. A friend of mine who used to come with me to all the shows in my area died a couple of years ago and it was hard to listen without her. But I threw on Philadelphonic the other day and it brought a smile to my face--when that album was released was around the time she died. So anything after that release I've been in the dark about. But all of you put it together nicely.

Sorry to hear about your friend.Songs that remind us of special people can bring us much happiness and joy, and sadly they can also remind us of loss. Just know that you have a new family here at philadelphonic forums. peace welcome
