Oh no. I heard it was coming, I saw it was coming and now it has come, the last day of the (hopefully 1st annual) Summer Haze Tour. Ozomatli, Slightly Stoopid and GLaSS have effectively put the phunk into peoples' Haze all over this whole God Loving country. But now we have reached the end. We are just like the Lord of the Rings, you don't want it to end, but end it must. We've got to get home and feed those babies and love those families! Get home to our girls and our stagnant apartments. Get home to full mailboxes, dirty laundry, doing dishes and paying bills. Get home to court dates, landlords, and that real tuff love. Get home to crisp fall coming, guitar shedding. I'm ready though, even though nothing beats being on stage, you just gotta come down and come back to reality for a little bit and then all of sudden you get the call, "a new tour just got booked". Then it’s back on the bus to save the world again. That's what we do right? (Jeeeez get a load of this guy)! Ok fine well just save our souls with sweet rock and roll. Hopefully, we can save your souls too and we hope we get the chance.

15 minutes till sound check, just enough time to do the dreaded pack up on the bus. Get all my crap and try to stuff it into my broken-ass suitcase with the bent-ass rim. You can hear me coming a mile away in the airport. Clickity, clack, now that's a wrap. One more time to bless the MIC tonight and I'm out…back to the lab.

We love you. Thanks to all for coming to the show and sharing this music with us. Bring the boys back home…all of them.

That's right. I'm back to reality myself, a bit begrudged, but it's time.
What a great summer. Thank you to G Love, Special Sauce, and all the people I met along the way out and about at shows living it up this summer. :)

Oh don't get me wrong...I'll continue to Live It Up, but I can't afford any more shows right now. It's back to reality for me. I've got a ton of work to do...sell my condo in Miami Beach (anyone interested?), pack it up, and get the heck outta here and on with my life. I'm through with this tourist town.
Being back in it is almost painful, and it's not just the harshness of the heat. I did miss the beach and the sun and my little cast of neighborhood characters, but I can't spin my wheels here forever.

You going to the Chicago show, Shark?

No ma'am. Denver perhaps though. I really enjoyed that area immensely. I'd like to visit in winter though before I make a decision. I like the seasons but hate the brutal cold...which is why I won't be relocating to the midwest, i.e. Milwaukee or Chicago. I do really like Chicago, but, well...I'm a total wuss when it comes to below zero temperatures. No thank you. I'd rather sweat my clothes off than be chilled to the bone.

So what am I gonna do and where am I gonna go?
Well, I am actually considering joining the Navy. But that's a topic for another time, er, thread. ;)

Angi! THE NAVY..... REALLY?
I think you have such a great spirit..... i hate to see "them" break your spirit.... you are soooo free... you dont really want to be trapped by our government, do you? None the less the choice is yours, and which ever ione it is, it will be the right one for you. I know you will make the right choice!!!!
AND I AM SURE WE WILL MEET UP SOON!!! Maybe at a Denver GLaSS show (backstage and all)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I second that, breaking your spirit ain't good.
You're such a nice girl, why would you wanna do something like that?
(follow orders, no questioning authority, having to do things you may not morally agree with, and things for which you may not even know the hidden agendas)

why? why? why?
you can't just say something like that and leave it.
we demand rationale.

Denver is nice. We had a condo in Vail and later a house in Dillon that we would visit and spend all of December in for skiing and such. Colorado is AMAZING in October. I think if u live in Colorado though, I see you living on the west side of the state closer to Utah. Its dry, still mountainous, colorado river runs through it, and just peaceful. There is a cute city called Grand Junction where I took my SATs on vacation and I really like it out there that my dad and I looked at colleges there.

I really like Colorado. My brother is getting sober and living in a group home with 6 other guys who are also getting their lives together. One he does stay sober for at least a year and makes some money, he wants to go back to school get his degree in psychology and move to Colorado and be a counselor to other addicts and help them improve their lives. He loves to ski and loves nature/hiking/etc. So thats why he wants to live in Colorado.

Cara girl, did you just get the memo about me loving Denver? :p
I'd need to live closer to the city probably, but I'm all about a roadtrip/weekend getaway! (shocking, right?)
