Halloween Costume... what should i be?

the past few years have been a thing of "ok, what am I doing for halloween?"

in '05 I went as "Satan's Bitch"
in '06 I went as "a playboy bunny" --- but only because my two previous costumes were tooooo short and i was going to pull a britney. but at least i wear underwear of somesort!

this year I've been toying with the idea of Amy Winehouse. but a blonde version.... i love her music and think she has cool style. I would just love to exaggerate it to the max though.

any other ideas????

just do the same thing u did the other nite when u were all drunk. stumble a bunch too. wear bad heels like half the girls i see at the bar do every day allready
wear big fake lashes. scribble sharpie marker all over your arms like tattoos. it would probably be more authentic if u did this after u were drunk though, u know. and if u dyed your hair black for the day.
u might end up just looking like a drunk tart though. at least if u dyed your hair people would know it's a costume and not just a bad night on the town. :D
but why is this something u would want to dress up as, really? there are tons of great musicians out there but very few id aspire to be, even if just for a nite.

However, the reason I would be her for halloween is because I would have so much fun getting ready. I would have a blast with the hair and make up. I would get a bunch of fake tats; not draw them on.

My fav that I did was a Freudian slip, basically a slip dress with Freudian phrases attached.

And this might be a small point of contention, but I think there is a slight difference between girls dressing up "like a whore" and girls dressing up slutty or in an exhibitionist sort of way. I think the reason many girls dress up in revealing costumes is for attention. (Uh, duh...)

Yeah, like that weird spray-in stuff they have in the stores during Halloween. I remember using that as a kid. It did the trick. And AW's got ratty hair anyways, it would kind of be the perfect effect.
Or why not a wig? I love a wig, even down here I'll wear one, despite the massive head sweat involved.

Duke/ Chapel Hill/NC State have a pretty ridunkiclous party every year on the college street "Franklin Street" in the durham and chapel hill area.

However, I might stick to the local college of UNC-Greensboro and party over there. Who knows... I may even have to work; so we'll see.

BHIC concert. I'm dressing up all fancy and going to the theatre in gloves and my black beaded flapper style dress. I need to find an appropriate hat to go with it. My friend says she's not dressing up but I told her that's bo-ring.

Not sure about the rest of that week though (Yep, I celebrate Halloween as long as possible). I usually go to Fantasy Fest (http://www.fantasyfest.net) in Key West, but money's tight right now, so, who knows?

Friday before Halloween the Mr. and I are going to a friend's party.. Mr.'s dressing up like "Dick in a box" but I'm not quite sure what I'm doing yet.. I want to do something with a funky colored wig..
Saturday night some of my friends are getting a big crowd together to go bar hopping as super heroes, I'm thinking of going as Hawkgirl.
As for Halloween night, I'm not sure yet.. I normally work Wednesday nights, but I might take it off so I can take the boys trick or treating [and then take myself out to the pub later ;) ]

There are tons of alley cats running around South Beach, scoring free dinner from the dumpsters and randomly placed bowls of cat food. So when I saw the motion-detector light repeatedly turning on and off last nite, I just assumed it was a cat creeping around. A litter of kittens was born while I was gone this summer and they're pretty cozy in my building because my next door neighbor is a food placer. I catch them napping every day on my door mat or even in my cozy chair on the balcony.
When I looked out and saw this fat cat in my chair last nite, I was like "oh, that must be mama cat!" but when she stood up and faced me head on, I knew better.

Be thankful he's not inside. I have a friend that had one that kept busting in to her house through the roof. The only way they finally got rid of it was hiring a professional to trap it.

i can second that. i had a momma raccoon get into my attic with her 3 adorable babies a few years back. i had to hire "critter ridder" (great name, btw) to get them out. (FYI: their nickname in the removal business is "furry squirters" for their unique defense mechanism when they are grabbed by the scruff of their neck.)
