turkey is def. on my list of places to see before i die. but it was on my list more for the history. the geography is cool though, another reason to go there someday
i've been to the rainforest in brazil and the amazon river (didn't go deep into the jungle, but was there non the less). i also visited iguazu falls, a place on the border of argetina and brazil that has over 250 waterfalls - makes niagara falls look tiny. the movie the mission (with jeremy irons and de niro - excellent film) was filmed there.

I'm catching up...sway reading your posts is sometimes like doing homework, and believe me I mean that in a really good way, I just haven't had the time.
I think I'd hit up the Guggenheim first. I was supposed to be in Turkey for Thanksgiving one year while traveling with my brother, but that's when we found out my mother was sick so we cut our trip short. Alot of the Romans we were hanging out with tried to dissuade especially me as a woman. Those photos are incredible!
I've been to Niagra Falls liet, but those are whole different ball game (hee hee Cubs are winning 8 zip). Not just in sheer size like you said, but in all that surrounds them too. They must have been amazing to see in person!
