Well I just woke up from a little preshow catnap here in Chicago. We are playing one of my favorite venues: The Vic Theater. We've done a lot of shows here over the years. Tonight it’s a private/free show with GLASS and Mofro. Should be wicked.
Jimmy Jazz had a family affair so my good friend, Philly legend and musical cohort, Chuck Treece is going to be on bass. After tonight we head to San Diego for the Street Scene fest. We are on the bill with Slightly Stoopid and Ozo among others...Summer Haze reunion! Yeah Boyee.
That's that. I've gotta go get ready to rock but I will write more tomorrow.
Peace out

Wait, free show?!? Must have to be a local insider to know about that one, eh?
Question: What is G using to send these blog entries, the Pony Express?
With the Blackberry G has, you'd think these would be up in a much more timely fashion. Think of all the drama/confusion that would have been avoided if y'all had known Treece was filling in for Jimi Jazz.
On the other hand, would you guys have still gone? My guess is hell yes, and that you would have went in more open minded about it and with lowered or at least different expectations.
Just a thought.

They had a free show in Columbus OH about 2.5 years ago, and one in Bloomington IN last March/April. They were both Jack Daniels promotional things. Sent forum memebers free tickets in the mail, all we had to do was ask. Also got 2 free drinks at the venue upon arrival.
The free drinks become a dangerous thing when 4 members of your group don't drink Jack, and you suddenly have 10 free drinks in your hand. It may cause you to believe a line of cross dressing men in cheerleadering outfits at a gay bar are a bunch of hottie coeds. It may also cause you to attack the bass player and put him in a headlock behind the venue. Not that any of this happened to me or anything. Thankfully Fox1 doesn't post here anymore.

It would've been nice going in to he show for sure. Rags was saying they need to bring Buddha out. Then, wait where is Jimi's bass? I really was agog for a while, because of all the talk about Jimi maybe leaving.
They did have 2 lines one for the people that had purchased tickets, and one for the people with blue tickets. Those must have been the promo ones. I still find it odd that someone that has just quit smoking would have a show sponsered by Camel.
We did get one free drink of our choice Mr. C, and a poster.
