Many of us have seen GLaSS a few times, along with opening bands. I was wondering who everyone's favorite opening act has been. OR, who do you think should open for GLaSS.
In my opinion I thought POB (Princes of Babylon)was saweeet as suga'

I have seen GLaSS about10, 12times and never really dug any of the openers. Slightly Stoopid, the Spooks, the MudKids, locals, etc. Don't think I have ever seen POB. It would be sweet if The Wailers opened for awhile.
It would be nice if GLaSS did a co-headlining thing like OAR and Robert Randolph recently, or like Jack J and Ben Harper in the summer, but I don't know who with. Hmmm.

Co-Headlining would be nice to see. Would you want a band similar to GLaSS, or a different style all together?

Probably different, like OAR and RRFB were different. The Roots and GLaSS would be incredible, all Philly boys. RRFB would be a good fit. Whoever though, just someone equally popular. I don't know if 311 would qualify as equally popular, but I am sure GLaSS pulled alot of crowd on that tour.

What about Jurassic 5. I think I would like them more than the Roots.

Ben Harper and Space Monkeys "opened" as part of the WBCN Xmas Rave in Boston a few years ago.
And last year someone opened at Lupo's in Providence - I can't remember their name though which sounds stupid because I even bought the CD.

Yo I caught the show last night in NYC and the opener was this guy/band Louque. Probably the best opener I have seen for G.Love that I can remember (well Jasper was good back in the day). The bandhas this funky soul feel with some reggae and chill out thrown in. Good stuff. I'll probably pick up the CD when I find it.

I think I remember The Meryl Streep opening and playing a cover of Toto's Africa. I enjoyed the Wailers in St Pete but Jaykob's right about J5. A G Love and Jurassic 5 show would be sweet.

Best: Medeski, Martin & Wood - 4/16/96 (Ann Arbor)
Worst: Ben Lee - 8/8/97 (Detroit)
Can't wait to see the band again in Grand Rapids coming up in April.

For sure traveler93!! I'll be at the show too!
When it all comes down to it, it doesn't really matter who opens for GLaSS as long as they are playing.
Long Beach Dub Allstars might also be kinda cool.
