I haven't cheered for the Eagles that hard in my entire life.

If the Colts get healthy, we will beat the Pats and repeat the Super Bowl.

Mark my words.

BTW; thanks for the sports talk, there is never any around here...ever.

Not true. We talked about baseball for one whole thread this summer.
Which I ignored, mostly.

There are tons of other places to talk/rant/etc about sports. Why do we need to do that here? :p

one whole thread this summer.
One whole thread?

I rest my case. And it was during the Playoffs, not like it went on that long. Anyway, baseball is boring anyway, who wants to talk about that?

Why do you think I don't post much anymore?

:D

J/K...I really don't care. I was just expression my appreciation, there has never been a lot sports talk here. Except back in the day when me and Perry and BoPeep and B. Love and Rags and others would get into it during the Playoffs or the NCAA BBall Tourney, but that was a couple years ago. I visit other music boards and there is plenty of sports talk there, every day, and most games have a thread, definitely the big ones.

Either way, I really don't care. I don't come here to talk sports. Besides, who wants to talk sports with a bunch of chicks? (and Ragmop)

However, if people do have an interest, I would be happy to drop my infinite knowledge on any sports related topic you desire.

Yo, I'll talk sports although most folks these days don't want to hear it because my teams are the Patriots, Celtics and Red Sox (Hey I was born into it so all bandwagon comments can be checked at the door). As far a college sports I mainly follow the Big East and the SEC as well.

Well, I'm a Yankees, Colts, and Pacers fan, and a Big Ten man (went to Purdue.) However, I live in Louisville part time and my fam is from NY and Dad went to Pitt, so I am a big Big East guy as well

Looks like you and I could have some great battles.

Bring it n00b. Oh yeah, BTW...F*#K the Patriots!!!

the pats rule and the colts are not doing good because they don't have bench players like the Pats do

You haven't had the injuries like the Colts have. How do you know?

We are starting Wide Recievers that were not even activated 6 weeks ago (Craphonso Thorpe) Against the Chargers we had 8 starters out, and Marvin Harrison has been out since before the New England game. Dallas Clark, Anthony Gonzales, Harrison, Moorehead, and Utecht were all out at the same time. That's 2 WR's and 3 TE's. Clark, Utecht, and Gonzales are back now, but Moorhead and Harrison are still hurt, along with our best defense player Dwight Freeney who is out for the season.

Anyway, what NE needs to worry about is their Offense Line, it's weak. Why do you think Brady has so many TD's? No running game. Of course he has great recievers too, but Maroney hasn't done much due to the weak O Line. When we come to Foxboro in the AFC Championship, it's going to be cold, and hard to throw. If your O Line doesn't get it together before then, you're gonna have problems. Luckily for us we have Joseph Addai in the backfield, who is having a stellar year, and he will ground and pound your D all night. Mix in a couple Manning > Wayne > Harrison TD's, and we win.

imo of course. :D

hey mr clean the Colts are good don't get me wrong but the pats this year have been lucky with injures but the Pats have allways had a great bench I just feel that the Colts do not have a great bench thats all.great team harrison is on his last leg he's gettin old and he can't take the hits like he used to.the biggest lost for the colts is Freeney he is by far the best player they have even though he plays defense.and by the way our o line is just doing fine brady is going to shatter payton's td record....They are both great teams and we will meat again.....

No worries bro, I know you weren't saying they were bad, heck we almost beat you. We have been extremely unlucky this year with injuries, it sucks. And WTF is up with Vinitieri??? 5 missed FG's in the last 3 games?!?! He's really shakey lately, all year really.

BTW; We better meet again, because I know you bastards will be there. The Pats really are unbelievable, but at least we know they are not invincible, the Eagles proved that.

you are right..I know you know your football.this is why the colts have allway given us a run for our money is they attack the pats conners.thats what the eagles did last night I just can't believe that It took all the way to the 11 week of the season for someone to finaly see one of our weakness the biggest one I think.Maroney is done you won't see him in a pats uniform next year I think he's a big cry baby.Morris we got him from the dolphins he's out for the season with injury he will be our starter next year.and by the way the colts runnig game is better then ours by far.addai is awesome I did'nt forget what he did to the Pats

Well, here's my sports talk for the season.
Woo hoo, Green Bay is sure doing good. And oh, hot damn! Those Dolphins, wow! they are really racking em up this season. I hope they continue having such an imperfect season, it's really one for the record books!

/end token sports babble.

But you go AT IT ladies and fellas...if you so deem necessary ;)

Oh the Pats know all too well. Remember last season when they had recievers playing cornerback, starting guys cut by other teams, duct taping a team together to put out on the gridiron? They still should have won that game in Naptown in January. They just didn't have anyone to catch the ball. After that comeback though I guess you can't argue that it was Indy's time.

I do not see how anyone beats the Pats at Foxboro in January. Green Bay isn't switching conferences mid season are they? Maybe that's what Adam V needs though. the cold, the wind, the snow, the post season. Maybe it's like state dependent learning and he would get his old game back. I hope this does not come back to haunt me.

Addai is a stud fo sho. Unless he gets hurt again he can keep Indy in games himself. I agree that LM is done. Morris will take all of his carries next season. I don't understand why Bob Kraft doesn't get on the horn and call Dillon. He could do more than LM at this point.

Also, I wouldn't put it past Darth Sweatshirt or whatever they are calling him now to let teams stay with the Pats more. He's the type of genius that would not want to show all his cards while the pot is still small.

This will sound crazy but the Miami game worries me the most. Look at the December game with miami over the past few years (minus last year I think) and they always play the Pats tight.

Mr. Cleanface
11-27-2007, 10:37 PM
Wow! I am surprised to see a couple Pats fans down on Maroney, I didn't know that was the feeling in Beantown. I liked him at Minnesota and was hoping he would end up in Indy, however, I couldn't be happier with Addai. He is a really great guy, very humble and soft spoken, probably my favorite Colt. One thing I will say is that the Colts GM and Pres. know how to draft well. Peyton over Ryan Leaf, Edgerrin James over Ricky Williams, Harrison and Addai with others still on the board...all good choices. Good points all around though fellas.

Uh oh, Breaking News...Looks like LB Rosevelt Colvin is out for the year. Better fire up those back-ups NE! Hehehe...

Dude, you're psychic. LOL. Tony Brown can do it all, dude is like the Jose Oquendo of the Patriots!

Anyway, I'm pissed right now, Purdue barely lost to #18 Clemson in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Fuck. Hell, we played 4 Freshman most of the second half. Big Ten better look out, the Boilers are young, and they are comin up!

Hey, what happened to Danielle!?!?! We need to re-name this thread 'The Season-Long NFL thread', that way we can post in it throughout the rest of the games.

Hey Danielle?! Edit > Change title...:D

As Rick Flair would say"WOOOOOOOOO!" or is it Flare? Does not matter. That time out was beyond lucky and I actually felt better about 4th and 6 than 4th and 1 so the false start was all good too.

LM didn't look to bad either. Maybe they are saving him for the post season.

Yeah the Pats had no business winning that game but when you give Brady that many chances he is going to beat you. Sometimes part of the game is luck...both good and bad. The Pats had the bad last year with the injury bug and so forth. The Steelers will be tough (maybe, they did lose to the Jets) but for now I am doing the undefeated dance for a few more days anyway.

Get. That. Dirt off ya shoulder!

After some thought, I'm not quite sure how I feel about the Pats going undefeated.

On one hand I hate them and I would not like to see them do it. But on the other hand, I know how rough it was on the Colts 2 years ago when they went 13-0 before losing. I believe the pressure, the scrutiny, and the constant attention by the media wore them out, and by the time Playoffs came around they were spent, and choked.

Them losing may take off the pressure, which in turn would allow them to focus and have the ability to rest some before the Playoffs instead of playing every game balls out, which I don't want. However, if going undefeated, which I also don't want, causes them to be spent and fail come Playoff time, then maybe I should be pulling for them to win out, even though I hate them.

Hmmm. Or maybe they will go undefeated all season and then kick asses through to the SB. Who knows.

Cleanface - did you watch your big P take down Louisville last Saturday? You were right man they look good to be so young. The Cards are my college team but I'll hand it to Purdue they kept their composure when Louisville tried to make that second half run. They stayed strong and finished them off well no thanks to the cramping problems. A solid W.

Mr. Cleanface
12-19-2007, 05:57 PM
Hell yes! They are young, start 4 frosh and have 2 sophs off the bench, but they have heart! Matt Painter is/will be an excellent coach for them. I couldn't be happier that he replaced Mean Gene. They have a bright future.

I am a Cards too though because I live 75% of the time in Louisiville now, and lived there when Pintino first came. I love that guy too, big big Pitino fan. When I'm not pulling for the Boilers, I am for the Cards. But when it's head to head, I gotta go with my true homies.

Wow. Being a Pats fan I have to give props to the G-men. That last drive was amazing. Fitting that they made a couple lucky plays and caught a break or two reminiscent of what got the Pats through a few close games this season. (How did Asante Samuel not make that interceptionon the last drive and the Miracle Catch after Manning avoided the sack? You just knew it was over.)

I have to say though, I'm not so mad that the Giants won, but that those d-bag '72 Dolphins still get to be all smug and sip their champagne. That is what really sucks. That Mercury Morris guy...I'm sure he as been featured here (http://www.hotchickswithdouchebags.com/).
