and initiated by Sway.

as i've been loading my pitiful non-backed up cd collection into itunes, I realize the extent of my loss, if you'd like to help me, please send me a message-

no marley, none of it do I have, dad or sons
downtown harvest gone
john browns body gone
easy star all stars, gone
the last 2 jack johnsons, gone
slightly stoopid, I fear I may only have chronchitis, I have the cover for the acoustic, but the cd?
revernd horton heat, gone
lifesavas, blackalicious, galactic

oh my word, its too much, the more I think, the more I know I miss.
but fine, its not the end of the world, I can build it back, I can pay, I can be a responsible adult and have a music library safety net, I can do it-

I'm revisiting my gorillaz album right now, and discovering bargain music, shaggy (hot shot) is lurking at the bar.

I correct myself I do have SS, longest barrel ride

And you know those stories about people that love all the worldy possessions too much and lose it all and learn a valuable lesson-
I've always thought books and music were exempt, but they aren't in the grand scheme, you've got to be able to let it all go in an instant, without a second of hesitation, it's all stuff and it can all be found inside.

"High, my name is Sway, and I need your help. If you act now and send me good music, I will send you a pound of walnuts from my backyard, probably rotten from laying on the ground all winter and I will send you my love. Thank you and the cheetah church thanks you too."

oh what was I being such a baby for

(maybe cause I realized I also don't have giant panda, mike pinto, expendables, roots of creation, long beach dub allstars, or fleetwood mac- "lay me down in the tall grass and let me do my stuff" , or yertle the turtle, or I am a jungle man!)

stop dwelling girl,
what do I have?

oh also no trulio digracias or the big fishbone compilation

what do i have, yes?

I have
Barney's favorites
dread zeppelin
brushire live songs ep
sublime
nirvana unplugged
taj mahal
the slow beck album

see the treasure outta just one drawer

I also have sim tunes and something called jazz acid loops, another called hip hop vocals, perhaps this is all I need to get on my way, and next thing I'll be chumming it up in the philadelphonic lab, and they'll be asking my opinion of which accordian star should be on the next album, they'll be asking for my lyrics, g love'll just steal my words and i'll let em, in fact, I'll plan it that way and just let em think he's pulling a fast one, so it'll keep him talking to his conscience, but they were always his to have. haha, ok Yoko Swayo Cuckoo haha that's funny( qualifier: to me)

Are you sure it's gone? What happened, cause I missed that part of the story. Is it a computer thing? Do a file search and I bet it is all there somewhere.

ok. this shall sound dumb, but how do I search for these files? where would they go?
They weren't at the dog party, I know that for a fact.

My computer glitch fixing ability is limited to system restoring to an earlier date, which in no way helped my problem. What a lot of whining&crap&fuss I made, if in fact, its all still there some where.

and I don't know what happened, it was just empty.

didn't you have a similar problem before and you found your files in your son's itunes folder/account or something to the likes of it all?

well after that I got rid of the other itunes accounts.

but I think I am gonna be the big goober, I did find the search file thing and I think I have found all the files, but when I try to follow the path to import them into itunes, I can't find them.

thanks for all the offers of musical donations, but I guess I'll make it through, what a spaz I wuz

I'm glad you found it, cause I don't know diddly squat about non Mac computers.

Can you drag them to your desk top for the search file thing, and then import them from there? The upside is you have them somewhere!

Well, I feel your pain Sway.
Apparently my iTunes updated again AND, in so doing, screwed my library up once again.
Playlists, gone. Thousands of songs in my library, gone. I know all the music files are still in existence on my computer, but what a pain to have to reorganize the whole thing and re-import it all, AGAIN.
I think I may have to go to the Mac store (as soon as WMC is over) for a walk through about how to avoid this happening again and again.

But if you want a big box of CDs in the mail, I can totally oblige. Cuz they are just gonna sit in storage once I leave, otherwise, so they're yours if you want 'em.

This is why I avoid things like iTunes lol I prefer old school, hard copies of CDs way more. I can rip them to the lappy, and have the original as backup!
