Widespread Panic: New Live Album

WSP dropped "Night of Joy" today. It features the Dirty Dozen Brass Band and is awesome. Only 9 songs, but over 75 minutes. It is the first of 3 live albums, all taken from the same night. I have tons of live shows, but you gotta support their official releases!! Peace


PS. Cypress Hill also dropped a new CD today, "Til Death do Us Part." I have always loved CH. It is funny to listen them though, reminds me of early high school. Old school baby!!!

It is good, but I prefer their 1999 release with the Dirty Dozen BB "Another Joyous Occation." The Arleen and Superstitiouson "Another"are incredible. Buy them both, they are good companion discs to have. You can't go wrong with WSP+The Dirty Dozen.

Live disc #2 today, July 13th. "Uber Cobra" the second set at the House of Blues, companion to "Night of Joy." This disc is acoustic and is really REALLY good. Been listening all day. You will not be dissappointed.

I believe they toured, but mainly South East shows..The album is pretty good..

I am so excited that start the tour tonight. Did you see that they are doing a livepanic.com, and releasing live shows on the web? They are actually offering the fox theatre run for free on MP3 for a short time thought it was pretty cool. Yeah the new album is classic panic...

The only thing that sucks is that they are not streaming the shows online somewhere. I would love to be able to hear the opening of the show, etc...There is a staion in ATL, I think 92.9, thatis broadcastingit live, but you have to be in their listening area. smileys/smiley7.gif

Yep saw that too, but "Climb to Safety" was the last song after Use Me. I was watching games last night, getting messages about the songs that they were playing, as they played them. That is a smoking setlist!!! Can't wait till Wed.!

one week till Panic takes over the streets of NYC, and Radio city..3 night run, I can't wait, Cleanface you go to any of the shows yet?

Yep!!! Hit both Cincy and Bloomington. Cincy was the FIRE!!! Many saying that this has been the best show so far. Bloomington was incredible too. I love those guys. Lots of new lighting and stage step-ups. GMac holding down the guitar very well. I've always been a Mikey guy, but it looks like GMac did alot of practicing over the past year. Schools holding down the bass like a lead guitarist, JB growling out the lyrics, JoJo banging the keys...WOO!!! The lot scenes were fun too. Love that shitt. Lots of youngin's at the shows which is a good sign IMO. Not too many tour rats, but the typical hippy scene was going strong. Lots of chocolates going around, among other things. Chicago and NYC will be awesome. 3 nights apiece...can't wait till summer. DEER CREEK(indy)>RIVERBEND(cincy)>POLARIS(c-bus), I hope...maybe throw in an Alpine Valley WI, haven't been there since Phish 98...

I am a mikey guy too, but from what I heard George is holding it down. Long Live Panic is right! Alpine Valley is awesome, making the trek for DMB just because of Alpine!
