I recently looked up some info. about the venue (Calvin College Fine Arts Auditorium)G. Love is playing at in Michigan and became a little scared because of the following:

The tickets are general admission, yet there are seats in a picture of the venue. Don't understand...

I've hearCalvin College is a VERY strict Christian college and doesn't take any BS from their students (no boysin girlsdorm rooms, that kinda crap). I don't know ifG's lyrics would quite fit the Christian College atmosphere.

The whole set up just seems kinda odd, if anyone has any ideas or have been to this venue, let me know! Please!!!

Never been there but I have a few ideas for the show. Running naked through the girls dorms comes to mind. breaking into the deans office. catching a great show and getting the hell out of ther b-4 you get arrested. seriously though I have seen GLaSS at a couple campus shows and it is not as fun. no beer. but your there to see the band and that is all that matters. have fun man. peace

I live in Grand Rapids and have seen Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals at this theater. Very nice place with great acoustics. Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds also played there a while back. It is a strict Christian Reformed college so there won't be any smoking in the venue, beer sales or a lot scene. General admission with seats is just that - show up and pick a seat. I agree it's kind of a weird choice to play there, as there are other very cool venues in town. I'm hopin' the band opens with "The Pussy Song"!

I think GLaSS' music is influenced by Christianity sometimes. Like the song "Numbers," which is written about a book of the Bible, or"Praise Up" and "Amazing" which are both spiritual songs.

Yes - I'll be there. I first saw them in '94 and haven't seen them since '97 so I am pretty fired up about it. The show starts at 8:00 and box office opens at 7:00 - I think doorsalso openat 7:00.

I don't like the bible.

Why does everybody like it so much?

I've only read a little bit of the 1st chapter and the last chapter which reminded me of some stupid sci-fi book my dad would read. no offense to you trekkers.

Anyway, I think the lost chapters are probably the only interesting ones in that crazy book, yeah, I'm talkin about you THOMEdited by: Enough

I think I'll get there really early then, maybe around 5. Ya never know if you get there early, hopefully I canpersuade my way intolistening to the sound check or something.

When Isaw GLaSS open for 311 at Meadowbrook I caught him walking around w/some novelin hand and got to talk to him. It was pretty cool, he took some pictures with me and asked what he could play. I asked for milk and cereal...he said they didn't play it anymore. None-the-less the show was awesome for him opening. If I do get to talk to him again maybe I'll request Fresh Lilia.

G. Love show, anything can happen!
