Thought I'd pass some thoughts and prayers around here also. DMB is now missing a very important part of them. I feel it is necessary for people to recognize the huge loss. :o

My thoughts go out to his family and the band.

This was crazy. I'm amazed they were able to still play last night. I can't imagine what it's like playing all those songs knowing LeRoi will never play them with you again.

On a personal note I never saw DMB. If I ever do I'm sure it will not be totally the experience it could have been. Somehow I always made excuses about money and they always toured so much I knew there would be another opportunity to see them. Usually I am pretty good about not taking music/art for granted and grasping the moment but in this case I let it slip away many many times. DMB has been going non-stop today on my i-tunes in tribute if you will. I'm glad so many others took advantage of seeing them time and time again. They were given a special gift at each show. The music world lost a gifted and creative soul but way above that a loved family member and friend is gone. I hope his family and bandmates will find the courage and strength to go on by celebrating his life and that the healing process will begin quickly for them.
