haha angi
i was actually joking around with a friend about going to see them on tour, but mostly out of curiousty about how they would sing that lame ass song "step by step", that song is often played on XM and it makes me laugh.
this is what i've been listening to:
MGMT
Black Kids
Pacifika
Tommy Guerrero
Estelle
The Roots
Jessie baylin
Santogold (obviously... i would listen to her).
Adele

I also still love Jason Mraz (how's that for two ends of the spectrum!)

Why not find some local stuff? There are some excellent finds out there, and they usually appreciate the support so much more.

most of the local stuff around here is that crazy death/heavy metal. and i totally can't vibe out with that.
I'm curious ragmop as you why you refer to my favorite movie character as I am not clueless... however, that movie has a great soundtrack.
I've also started liking the racontuers.

i was not suggesting that you are clueless, Cara. at all. it's just that my first thought when i read the opening line ("i'm pretty much over g.love and seeing him live") was: "that sounds like something cher horowitz would say".
btw, it's a great movie too.

I can imagine that you've heard of her, but why not Tristan Prettyman? She's pretty amazing.
Also, a couple of my other favorites are:
Jack Johnson
Matt Costa
Zach Gill
Sara Bareilles
Colbie Caillat
Death Cab For Cutie
