Thanks guys!!!! I had an awesome day...I went on a shopping spree and bought a couple of pairs of shoes and a ton of new smalls that I was in desperate need of...had lunch with my mum and dinner with my bf and best mate...good times :)
And, I'm kinda more of an adult now, I no longer fit into the 16-24 year age group..so no longer a 'youth' hehehehehe

happy birthday duke.
that ring is very beautiful, it'd make me feel like I was a princess in the days of knights and dragons and chivalry, or like I had some special power no one knew about but me.
very lovely

Awww, sauce... and you two are still like newlyweds... I can't imagine if I'd married the guy I was dating when I was 19!

it is a nice one, duke. did he pick it out himself (i'm not even sure it's from the bf)? i always used to get jewelry from my now husband, back in the day. funny thing is, they were never pieces i would have picked out for myself, but they became, and still are, my favorites just because he picked them out.
one christmas i even got two pieces of jewelry b/c what he had ordered didn't come in on time. we had been married a month (yes, our first christmas as a married couple) and he forgot to get me a gift, so he ordered it online. i had his present wrapped so nicely sitting out in the open and i wouldn't let him open it until i got mine. he ended up going to the store a few days after christmas to get me something else, i think because he wanted his gift so badly, and i later got the one that was sent. it's been down hill from there... why is it that men change after they get married and stop the romancing right away???

It's definitely a sweet ring, Ange, and I don't say that about jewelry often lol
Mr. Sauce is lost on the concept of romance [especially weird, considering he has 3 sisters whom are very typically girlie], so I'm of no help, Liet. Only recently has he started buying me gifts [read: since he came home from Japan on Sunday lol he brought me a gorgeous, hand painted vase, a new toe ring and a choker with some weird, beautiful, brown stone]

ah, yeah it's from the bf....he actually had it designed at a jeweller in the city. He knew I liked turquoise cuz it's my birthstone, and I also love antique jewellery so he had them make it look 'antiquey'. It's white gold, which will be a bit more sturdy (or so I'm told)....He's always good with presents for me, always knows exactly what I like. Initially, on my b'day he gave me my favourite football team's jersey and they won the championship this year so he got the DVD of that....only because the ring wasn't ready yet and he wanted to make sure I had something on my actual b'day.
It's funny though, because sometimes it seems that he never puts any effort into our relationship...but then he goes and does these things for me. Like the restaurant we went to is owned by one of my favourite chef's and it's booked out months in advance. So he booked months in advance and didn't tell me, until the week of my birthday....couldn't believe it! I kept asking if he'd booked somewhere and he kept saying no, and I was thinking we'd have to eat at KFC or something hehehehhe....I'm SO lucky and SO spoilt.
And Sway, I felt extra special that night, and I still do now...

hmm...i always thought I wanted to be a young mother, then I've just been through a phase of not wanting children, but now I think I do....but i'm SO afraid of motherhood, even though the girls in the pham are such awesome mothers....i still hope I have kids before 30, because my mum was 32 when she had me and now she seems really old...a long generation behind me...and doesn't understand a lot of how I live my life.

That's very sweet Duke. Every woman should be made to feel special by that special person in their life, and often. They did a great job on the ring! From the picture I would've sworn it was an antique.
