It's a great time, regardless of who's playing, even if (or perhaps I should say especially if) the lineup included mostly obscure, unknown bands...like that band your husband's in. :p

i have my wish list of bands, now to just wait until the announcements begin to see. and yes it would be amazing if that comes through, but it'll be a blast no matter who's there.

whats your wish list? how come ppl get sick of the other fests but still go to bonnaroo? is it really that good or is it just centraly located to 1/2 of america?

well of course there's the rumor of phish for two nights and bruce springsteen as the head liners.
i'd love to see
the cat empire
the avett brothers
gomez
ben folds
regina spektor
gogol bordello
balkan beat box
vampire weekend
brett dennen
umphrey's mcgee
and so many more, but i think there's a strong chance for several of the above.
the location is a major factor for my husband and i. i've been 4 years and eric's at 5. i guess one of the main reasons we keep going back is that overall it's a well run festival. the band selection offers a great selection, the grounds could use a few more trees, but nicely laid out.

so for the past few years on inforoo one of the dj's from radio bonnaroo gives clues as to who the performers will be before they are announced. since we have a few word nerds over here i thought there might be entertainment to be had.
Peter Pan had a good roast before he was beat to a pulp, and the ocean spray from a westward bay invites you to take a big gulp.

at the risk of sounding like a total idiot the first part makes me think of peanut butter so maybe PB????

Awww, now that one's TOO easy! It's PB & J . . . Peter, Bjorn, and John (http://www.peterbjornandjohn.com/).
Indie rockers from Sweden. I caught part of their set at Lolla a couple summers ago, and it got some rave reviews.
Jorie, how could you only get halfway there like that?!? :p
(word nerd, what? :eek::o:D)

that's one of the lead thoughts. the other is snoop dog. peter pan before roasted, peanuts. popular peanuts character snoopy. from the west coast and the gulp would be gin and juice. and no i didn't figure it out, words are not so much my thing. i'm a number cruncher.

i thought the second part might be the obvious to finish the PB, which is J, but i couldn't figure out who it was. i was thinking, is there a band called peanut butter and jelly? i let my confidence wane as i kept thinking about it! i really need to stop doubting myself so much.
good call, angi!
so tink, when do you find out the answer to the riddle??

two more clues
Sun Ra said space is the place. Subtract Mr. Ra, the Arkestra too, add George Bailey and just a fraction of the universe of which a euro pop tart did zing.
and
Vermin at the hills brow are better than in the house.

Hmmmm.... that last one makes me think of the notice the school nurse sent home today "Lice found in class 1-T's class" Oh No..... (Thankfully no)

you a delta spirit fan, tink? i caught them opening for matt costa last year at the double door (GREAT cozy venue [bar actually]). "trashcan" was a great visual experience, i'll say that . . . .

i started listening to them about 2 weeks ago actually. they're also going to be in atlanta on the 25th of this month, thinking about checking out that show as well. so what are your thoughts on the live show (aside from trashcan.) haven't really checked up on what people are saying about their live show yet.

as is my affinity, i was more impressed with them live than with their studio stuff. lots of energy (not like TAB, but still a lot of movement and sweat the night i saw them) and great vocals. a lot to watch: 5 guys on small small stage. but also a lot of fun. and as you know, mr. costa likes to mix it up, and he did a number of songs with DS during his own set. good compliment to MC. i thoroughly enjoyed the threefor that night. (delta spirit, MC and johnathon rice).
an outdoor venue might diminish their sound (duh!), but i think overall you will enjoy them.
