new album coming out this year. mostly the boys have been writing, which is good. with them doing most of the writing and leaving gwen to take care of the babies, i think the music will be something much better and pick up where Return of Saturn left off in 2000. there is also a tour. only one day has been annouced which is a music fest in east rutherford, nj in may. i def. will go see them, since i haven't seen them since 2000 on that return of saturn tour.

also- tom, tony, and adrian of no doubt are/were the musicians on Scott Weiland's solo thing.

it'll be interesting to see if the album does come out this year, i'm guessing not (http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1601343/20081215/no_doubt.jhtml). and not just because of the article, but because it was also rumored to come out last year. they have traditionally taken quite a while to put out the new material (of course 7 years is a bit much:rolleyes:.) but here's hoping i'm wrong! hope to see more tour dates soon, thanks for the update cara!

I just heard last night they'll be playing the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre. I think I'll go.

I'm going to see Weiland here on the 31st (I hope Ellie will fly up I've got a ticket for her), even though I'm really not familiar with his solo stuff. I suppose I should get on that. I am interested to see what Albini is churning out now.
