I wanted to add an adjunct to my comments on the maturity of the new sauce, including G. I saw the show in AC and was so struck by the new dynamics. It was like a whole new show, for which I am totally stoked! Can you imagine how stoked chis D must feel? Poor kid.

What I forgot to write last week in my rambling review was how cohesive the band seemed and how entertaining the show felt. Could it be more obvious that there is no love lost with the old to new line-up. I have seen the sauce at lot...this is not to seem cool but only to qualify by perceptions, and as an expert i testify that there is a secret recipe...

Also, since I am spilling my thoughts on papel I'd like to recommend the Black Keys and that boy Dan...To my dismay I did not write an immediate review the last time I saw the Keys, or when I saw the opening show of Dan Auerbach on his solo gig in Brooklyn. What a fucking great rock and roll show!! Need I say more, i loved those darlins' and would let em' stay in my hacienda anytime...te he he...

Ok, so, anyone???

I agree with having and enjoying a fresh but finely aged sauce these days, the shows I've caught on this past tour have been especially wonderful and with no loss due to the rejuvenated line-up, though I miss Jimi profusely!!

AND the black keys complete me. I have been hard-core diggin mr. auerbach's 'keep it hid' since release. tragically, have yet to see them live though...always been wrong place, wrong time.

The show I went to on this Tour was very fun, but in my opinion there is a little fine-tuning needed for the sauce to be in perfect condition. Mr. Shanko is a very good bassist, but obviously as a new ingredient this tour will be a learning curve of sorts for him.

Houseman seems to be the glue thats holding these guys together for now, giving much of his attention to keeping Timo in the groove of each song, and watching G as he does his solos/fan interactions, waiting for him to finish his thing and then looking over to Timo to make sure he's ready to change it up. JJ and Houseman always knew what was coming, and they definently had an incredible musical chemistry, but now Timo and House have to work on there chemistry and timing to get the sauce back that specialty. This is all to be expected though, and Timo being a professional musician should have the whole special sauce mindset down in no time. As far as I could tell, Mark just kinda does his thing on the keys, and G is obviously the dude who keeps the show moving forward.

I think that the next G.L.a.S.S. album will be the best in a while, with Timo adding his own element into the mix and doing his own thing instead of playing JJ's stuff, which is all that we've heard (for the most part)

i must agree, I am really enjoying the new lineup. When I saw them in Athens, GA in february, they were awesome! Their energy has definitely been recharged. Timo is awesome as well! I also saw them in orlando about a month later, and they were playing even better, they seemed more comfortable with Timo as well. This tour has been awesome and i personally think it has been their best in a few years! Will be seeing them next at Sunfest in May and can't wait!

I would also like to comment on the new dynamics and "family feel" of the new line-up. I was also at the April 4 show in AC with 2nd row seats so i saw it all! hah. Timo is an amazing musician and is very lively on stage, from spinning his bass to dancing around with it etc, but he is truly a great addition to the special sauce. They all just seemed to love eachother and were having a blast on stage! G. would walk over to Timo and they would jam play together, and Houseman would make faces at Timo and they would just crack up during songs. It made me feel happy that they are doing so well and were loving being up on stage. I look forward to attending way more shows!!! thanks GLaSS!!
