Has anyone else noticed the cost of concert tickets jumping up huge? It's turning into me actually having to save $ to be able to go to a concert, not to even mention parking.

The GLaSS and Jack show around me, Detroit, is at a mediocre venue which starts concerts really early and ends really early; like 10:30. The ticket price is$38, plus the other charges, damn! Anyway, let me hear some feedback.

I don't think that it is a bad price for 3 bands. That is around $13 a set. Pretty good if you ask me.

The whole DMB thing is a little out of control. I save all of my ticket stubs and I saw DBM in 95 and it cost around $20. Plus I think he had an opening act. This years tickets are $45 after all the charges. No opening act. I think he is being greedy.

I think I am just used to seeing bands in smaller venues and paying $10. It always happens...see a small band for cheap....like the band...band gets big...have to shell out lots of dough to see them live again...BLAH, I don't like it!

Fox1 FYI - DMB has fecking awesome bands opening for them on this summer tour, that is one of the main reasons I will be checking them out, last show was like 97. Every few shows a new band is opening including; O.A.R, Galactic, Keller Williams, The Nappy Roots, N*E*R*D, Jason Mraz, and I think Ben Harper and I.C. are opening the last few. Check out the site. O.A.R. is opening the Indy shows, then Galactic I think.

Tickets are going up, do you think the bands are seeing more $$ ? I doubt it. How many of these Venues are Owned by CLEAR CHANNEL COMMUNICATIONS? or promoted by SFX Entertainment (a Clear Channel Comm company)? That's why tix are so damn expensive, because we have one Company that wants to rule the world of music. Clear Channel Sucks!ClearChannelSucks.org

(for those of you to lazy to follow a link here's a summary:)

Clear Channel owns over 1,200 radio stations and 37 television stations, with investments in 240 radio stations globally, and Clear Channel Entertainment (aka SFX, one of their more well-known subsidiaries) owns and operates over 200 venues nationwide. They are in 248 of the top 250 radio markets, controlling 60% of all rock programming. They outright own the tours of musicians like Janet Jackson, Aerosmith, Pearl Jam, Madonna and N'Sync. They own the network which airs Rush Limbaugh, Dr. Laura, Casey Kasem, and the Fox Sports Radio Network. With 103,000,000 listeners in the U.S. and 1,000,000,000 globally (1/6 of the world population), this powerful company has grown unchecked, using their monopoly to control the entire music industry. If you find this alarming, ClearChannelSucks.org is the place for you.

Wow! I did not know that. So, tickets are going up. Am I still going to pay top dollar to see the bands I like, damm straight. Sounds like Clear Channel sucks, But I still am going to be paying them to see shows, or paying some other rotten company. I guess it will get worse befoe it gets better, right?

Your right Cleanface. I totally forgot OAR is opening for them. They put on a good show. I saw them twice last year once at Bonnaroo and I think they opened for 311 in Indy.

Damn tickets are still to much..
