Avatar ?

Can someone tell me how I can upload my own avatar, or image next to my posts. I'm completely f'n lost on this. Brijahn has that fat purple bastard dino and I want something like that. Can any of you computer savvy people help a moron out. Wow savvy!

I don't think you can upload, only link to an Avatar. So if you see one you want copy the image address (by right clicking). Then in "edit profile" paste that address into the avatar box (next to the button that says "preview")

Which, by the way, I lifted from somebody else's profile on another board.

Check out this thread (http://www.phishposters.com/yabbse/index.php?topic=4471.0) They explain how to make an animated avatar. You can post your avatar there then link to it.

Oh, so that's how you do it. Easier said than done when it comes to me. I've read the instructions above twice and I still can't comprehendo, hehehhee. That's what happens when you get old and forget how to follow directions. When my mind comes back, I'll tryto follow the instructionsagain. It may take till the 12th of NEVER though, hahahaa.

ok here we go

1. Go to google and type in "Animated Avatars"
2. Pick a site that has some cool ones
3. Click on one to view it
4. It should come up in a different window (a seperate page for itself)
5. If it does then you go to where the internet address is up top
6. right click on it so its highlighted blue then click copy (you just copied the web address for the avatar)
7. go to settings then "edit profile" section of Philadelphonic forum
8. scroll down to where you see your avatar
9. right below where you can select from the list of avatars is an empty white rectangle box
10. right click inside the box and click on "Paste"
11. The web address of the avatar that you copied should now be in the box
12. click on the "Preview" button right next to it
13. It should show the avatar you selected
14. if it doesn't don't be discouraged, try a different avatar and follow the steps again, for some reason not all of them work
15. sit back and admire you technical saavy as the board members tell you how cool you are for having a dancing monkey next to your posts
16. mentally thank JMS and slap him 5 when you see him at a show
