B Love - MOFRO is combo of blues funk and soul. Lots of Harmonica, piano, slide guitar, "swamp funk!"A little along the lines of GLaSS, but a lot more awesome singing, not much rapping, more like scatting.Mostly a lot of soul singing.The lead singer, JJ Grey, has the best voice in music today, IMO. Definitley check it out.

I listened to this twice already tonight. It might just replace 5 Buroughs in my heavy rotation. The last 2 tracks are great; "The Long way Home", and "Pray For Rain" are incredible slow mellow jams. I like the mix of studio and live tracks on this album. I agree with Mr C, if you haven't already, go buy this CD!

This sounds interesting, is the album available in most stores, or is it something you have to order over the net?

I would say that most good independent stores would have it, Ear-X-tacy etc.. It might be hard to find at say Best Buy or other big chains, unless you live in the south.


They are becoming pretty popular, play all the major fests, Bonnaroo, Smilefest, also Jamcruise. The BB here in Indy didn't have it, but one in Louisville didand Brijahn got his at Best Buy. Check out mofro.net otherwise.
