Default G. Love Post - Patron of the Arts

Greetings Pham! I've been off the road for about a week now and just really chilling after 2 successful tours. We want to thank everyone for supporting and sharing that feel good music with us. Big ups to Minneapolis and Madison for sending us home on such a high note.

We managed to demo out about 13 new songs at sound check during the last week of tour so that was productive. We demo’ed some of the new tunes I've written during my own shedding time. I've also collaborated with Jeff, Timo and Mark, who have all brought some great grooves to write to on. I also had some contributions from Merlo Podwelski, who plays bass with Jack Johnson's. Merlo and I co-wrote "Can't go back to Jersey" and I'm gonna let you know, we have a couple new bangers coming your way.

On another note, I've been an aspiring visual art collector/supporter now for a couple years. Today I was lucky enough to purchase a couple new paintings from and up and coming artist out of New York named Brian Leo. He has a tremendous show right now at the Leo Kesting gallery in the West Village in NYC (right by the Philadelphonic office). Check out the show here http://www.caplakesting.com/Brian_Leo/2009/catalog.htm

I'm blessed enough to be able to make my passion for music my life and career and I always find it rewarding in so many ways to support the artists whose work I love. So go check out my friend Brian- he is dope. If you go check out the Phillyglove youtube channel you'll also see some of my other pieces in the background while I'm jamming! Music and art. I love it! Peace out and watch out for swine flu- wash your hands!

G

Dig it! I love folk art. I'm not really feeling the gold leaf, but I'd take ANY of the others and hang them in my house.
